IO-PI is an extension board for Raspberry Pi and Raspberry Pi Zero.
Why IO-PI?
Right from the beginning of my experience with Raspberry Pi I realized how wonderful this platform is, how many interesting projects can be done using this small computer.
I started, as any enthusiast, to do small projects on breadboard but soon I realized that something was missing ... I wanted my projects to be permanent, in other words to come to life.
And suddenly out of nowhere IOT phenomenon appeared! Now million of devices are connected together, my home is on my finger tips and again Raspberry Pi seemed to be the perfect tool to bring my ideas to life. But still... something was missing. Once more my project was on a breadboard with wires everywhere with sensors and relays floating around the tiny computer and again it was almost impossible to make it fit on decent case.
That was the moment when I decided that I want a compact board, an extension of Raspberry Pi that is ready to communicate with the outside world. So I started designing IO-PI.
